Terms & conditions
The terms you book, stay and celebrate under. Written plainly, because nobody reads the other kind.
These terms apply to accommodation, dining and event bookings with The Grand Brystal Comfort Inn. They were last updated in July 2026.
Booking and confirmation
A booking made through this website is a request to reserve a room. It becomes a confirmed reservation once our reception team has checked availability and confirmed it to you — you will see the status change on your voucher.
Your booking reference identifies your reservation. Please quote it on any payment and bring it with you when you arrive.
Rates
All rates are quoted per room per night in Kenya Shillings and include breakfast unless stated otherwise. Half board includes breakfast and one further meal; full board includes all three.
Rates may be higher during peak and holiday periods, and any uplift is shown in your total before you confirm. The figure on your voucher is an estimate for the stay you selected; reception confirms the final amount, and extras such as bar bills, laundry and additional meals are settled separately.
Conference and event rates are quoted per delegate and depend on your numbers, dates and menu. A written quote is valid for the period stated on it.
Payment
No card details are collected on this website and no money is taken online. You may pay by M-Pesa or bank transfer using the details on your voucher, or settle in full at reception on arrival.
We will never ask you for an M-Pesa PIN, a card number or a one-time password, and we will never ask you to send money to a personal phone number. If anyone contacts you claiming to be us and asks for any of these, do not pay — call us on the number below first.
For institutions, we invoice against a Local Purchase Order. Our KRA PIN is P052353897R and we issue ETR-compliant invoices.
Check in and check out
Check in is from 12:00 and check out is by 10:00. Early check in and late check out can often be arranged and are subject to availability; please ask reception rather than assuming.
All guests are required to register at reception on arrival and may be asked for identification, as required of licensed accommodation in Kenya.
Changes and cancellation
Plans change and we would rather know early. To move or cancel a booking, contact reception as soon as possible with your reference.
Cancellations made well in advance are not charged. For cancellations at short notice, for no-shows, and for group and event bookings, charges may apply — these are confirmed to you in writing at the time of booking, and for events they are set out in your quote.
Where a deposit has been paid, any refund is made by the same method it was received.
Events and functions
Event bookings are confirmed against a signed quote and a deposit. Final guest numbers should be confirmed at least 48 hours before the event, as catering is prepared against that figure.
Décor, external suppliers and outside catering must be agreed with us in advance. We reserve the right to decline arrangements that are unsafe, that damage the property, or that disturb resident guests.
The organiser is responsible for the conduct of their guests and for any damage caused during the event.
House rules
We ask guests to respect other guests, particularly at night. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
Illegal substances, weapons and any form of harassment are not tolerated. We may ask any guest whose behaviour endangers or seriously disturbs others to leave without refund.
Children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult at all times, particularly in the garden and around event setups.
Your belongings
Please look after your valuables. The compound is fenced, monitored by CCTV and manned around the clock, and we take security seriously, but we cannot accept liability for cash or valuables left unattended in rooms or public areas.
Items left behind are held for a reasonable period — contact reception as soon as you notice something missing.
Facilities
Wi-Fi, DStv, hot water, parking and the standby generator are provided in good faith. Occasional interruption by a supplier, the weather or maintenance does not on its own entitle a guest to a refund, though we will always try to put things right.
We may need to close or relocate a facility for maintenance or for a private function. Where this affects a booking you have already made, we will tell you in advance.
This website
We keep the information on this site as accurate as we can, but occasional errors in rates, availability or descriptions are possible. An obvious error does not oblige us to honour it; we will contact you and offer the correct terms or a full refund of anything paid.
Photographs show our own property. Rooms of the same type vary slightly in layout and furnishing.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts. Nothing here removes any right you have under Kenyan consumer law.
